Additional insurance for church employees in Bavaria with statutory health insurance

So that you and your family have even better health insurance

Most people in Germany have statutory health insurance. If you work for the church, you also receive an additional allowance. This applies to your family as well, including your spouse and children for whom you receive child benefits.
The allowance is extra money from your employer to cover your medical costs. You don’t have to pay for it. The allowance acts like an additional insurance to your statutory health insurance. Your employer registers you with us and also pays the contributions for this additional insurance. This additional insurance is called Plan 814.
The allowance covers dental replacements and treatments by naturopaths.
If you want better benefits, you can take out the church's higher insurance. This is an additional insurance called Plan 820 K Plus, which you have to pay for yourself. Your family members with statutory health insurance can also get the church's higher insurance.
You can get our additional insurance 820 K Plus without a health check if you have been employed by your church employer for less than 6 months. You can get the additional insurance even if you are sick or have had certain illnesses in the past.
There are extra modules for the additional insurance 820 K Plus. You can add these modules to the additional insurance 820 K Plus to get even better benefits from the health insurance. This means the health insurance will cover even more of your medical costs.
The insurance pays for dental replacements, treatment by alternative practitioners, hospital treatment, glasses and contact lenses and for all medical expenses incurred during treatment abroad.
